A Must-Have for Your Wedding Day Emergency Kit
Brides, there’s one item I can’t recommend enough for your wedding day emergency kit, it’s a lifesaver.
Over the years, one of our favorite local dry cleaners introduced us to a foolproof spot remover for wedding gowns, and we’ve been loyal to it ever since.
When you’re putting together your wedding day emergency kit, make sure you include:
Folex carpet cleaner and a clean white cloth.
We keep these right at the front desk at the boutique to quickly spot-clean our samples. The reason this method works so well is that, unlike Tide pens or club soda, Folex doesn’t saturate the fabric. That means you won’t end up with a water spot, which can sometimes be even more obvious than the original stain.
Here’s how it works: simply spray the cleaner onto your cloth and gently dab the stain. We’ve seen it remove makeup, tanning products, food, grease stains, basically anything that might surprise you on the big day.
One perfect example: a bride reached out to us the Friday before her wedding in a bit of a panic. Her gown had caught the wheel of a garment rack at the venue, leaving a grease stain. We talked her through our Folex method, and she was thrilled to report that it worked like a charm.
All that to say: we’re always advocates for simply enjoying your wedding gown. But a little preparation goes a long way toward keeping you looking flawless for those key photo moments.
With love,
