Do I need an appointment to shop?

We do operate by appointment for our brides.  This way we can ensure that you have a fitting room, stylist, and bridal suite reserved for you and your guests upon arrival!  If you’d like a same-day appointment or would like to pop by and shop our accessories, give us a call! If we have availability we’ll be happy to squeeze you in.


Can I bring guests with me?

Absolutely!  This is such a special time and we encourage brides to bring along their loved ones.  To maintain the intimate nature of our work and in fitting with the size of our boutique, we limit brides to 6 guests for all appointments. Trust us - 6 opinions is plenty. However, if you are interested in bringing additional guests, we do offer our Platinum and VIB appointment upgrades which do allow for additional members in your party.


What's your price range?

On average, our gowns are priced between $2500 and $4500. We do have styles starting as low as $2,000 and our highest-end gowns range from $6,000 to $8,000. We take a bride’s budget seriously, so we will always ask for a budget when booking a bridal appointment to ensure that our price point is compatible with your budget expectations .

For brides who love designer quality but have a lower budget, we encourage you to explore our Sample Sale options. Sample Sale gowns are sold off-the-rack at a discounted rate, and are available to shop or browse on our website. Reach out to us for more info!


How far in advance do I need to shop for a gown?

We suggest ordering your gown 10 - 12 months prior to your wedding for a nicely paced delivery and alterations process with minimal stress. Our collection of gowns are made-to-order, meaning once you 'say yes to the dress', the designer will make a brand new gown in the size and color you require.  This process can take 4 - 6 months for delivery, and we recommend allowing 6-12 weeks for alterations.

That said, we are always willing and able to help brides with a shorter timeline.  We encourage brides to shop our collection of sample gowns; beautiful store samples that are often heavily discounted.  Rush deliveries are also available depending on the style.

do i pay for my gown upfront? what forms of payment do you accept?

We do require payment for all orders upfront, but payment plans are available. We accept payment via check, cash, and all major credit cards.

Where are you located?

Our boutique is located in charming Historic Newburgh, right on the border of Indiana and Kentucky (seriously, we can see Kentucky from our window;).  Just a 10 minute drive from Evansville, 20 minute drive from Henderson, and 45 minute drive from Owensboro. 

We love our little historic neighborhood filled with locally owned boutiques and restaurants, and encourage our brides who are traveling from afar to stay and enjoy the day in Historic Newburgh.  For more details about our town or for shopping/dining recommendations while you're here, just ask us!

 

Is there a fee for booking an appointment?

There is no fee or cost affiliated with booking a House of White Signature Appointment, which includes 90 minutes of expert styling for you and up to 6 guests. Upgraded appointments are available and do incur a fee, which are detailed here. We do require a credit card number upon booking any appointment and will charge a $50 cancellation fee in the event of a no-show or cancellation within 48 hours. Appointment upgrades are available to enhance your experience for you and your guests, but our Signature Appointment is always complimentary.
