“I had the most amazing experience at House of White! Knowing that we would have a short engagement (9 months), I went dress shopping the week after we got engaged. I knew I wanted a dress that was simple, classic, and elegant. Addy did a wonderful job helping me pull dresses that met this description but also had me try on dresses of totally different styles. This helped me feel even more confident in choosing the style I initially wanted. I really liked the very first dress I tried on but had another appointment scheduled somewhere else. We ran to the other shop quickly but ended up coming right back to House of White for the first dress! To make the experience even better, Addy let me know that I could take home the exact dress I fell in love with! “Mitchell Mundy. We met at IU while we were both in college. Mitchell was visiting mutual friends during Little 500 and we hit it off immediately. He came back to Bloomington for our first date the next week. Mitchell proposed at my family's lake with both our families there. Both our birthdays are in July (2 and 22) so he suggested we do a joint birthday celebration while my sister was in town from NYC. I had no idea that he planned the whole thing to be a surprise proposal! When we came back from the lake, several of our friends came to celebrate our engagement! He had it all planned in advance so I was truly the only one that didn't know it was happening that day.”

WEDDING DAY ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES

“I had schedules for every part of the day, which helped everything go so smoothly. Every hair and makeup slot was assigned in advance to keep things moving. I had most of my checks for vendors pre-written and asked a bridesmaid to make sure everyone was paid so I didn't have to worry about leaving the party to do so. I also had a photo shot list that allowed us to get all the meaningful photos in church done quickly so we had more time to enjoy the day.”

“I did a first look with my brother and dad, separately. We are all very close. Their reactions were priceless! My bridesmaids also surprised me with a book full of pictures and letters written by each of them. They know I love handwritten notes and cards, so this meant a lot to me! I couldn't hardly read anything in the book because of all the happy tears in my eyes! I plan to add other photos and memories from the day to the book.”
