“During the exchange of vows, Matthew and I held together a crucifix to symbolize how we are entering into the covenant of marriage with God at the center. Our faith is very important to us, and so we wanted to participate in this old Croatian tradition. As we said our vows, I could see in Matthew's eyes how much he loves me and and that he meant every word. I was so touched and overwhelmed by his love that I started crying as I finished saying my vows. Saying our vows was my favorite part of our wedding day!”
