“My husband’s name is Bryce and we met at the end of high school. We had been revolving around each other for years in church, school, and in our friend group. He really noticed me once I cut my hair from waist length to just above my shoulders. We started talking more every day until he told me he liked me after I helped him jump start his Jeep. We very quickly started dating at the end of May in 2021 and talked about marriage and our lives together. We wanted to wait to get engaged until after our 1 year anniversary and Bryce had originally said he wouldn’t propose during his family vacation the next summer, saying “it’s tacky and predictable.” It was the perfect cover up to make me think it wasn’t going to happen for a while. He proposed on July 18, 2022 on the beach while his family watched from the condos. As we walked back up to see his family, my parents, brother and grandmother were sitting at a table to surprise me. I remember seeing my mom and bursting into tears, running to give my family hugs. We had a little party by the pool surrounded by our loved ones.”
