There’s a subtle yet significant trend sweeping through the bridal gown universe that we just couldn’t help but notice. And when our designers began releasing their new collections for Fall, we realized this new trend we love is here to stay!

Call them what you will: u-shaped necklines, scooped necklines, curved neckline…regardless they all describe a strapless or off-the-shoulder neckline that is higher near the shoulder, with subtle dipped curve across the bust. This neckline is both a modern spin as well as a total throwback, harkening back to the days of corsetry.

This look has definite high-fashion appeal, but its staying power can be attributed to how it flatters real brides. The dip in the neckline creates an elongated visual through the neck and shoulders. It has the magical ability to support a large bust, and also add shape to a more petite bust.
