Annabelle + Landon

“I loved my experience at House of White! After shopping around at a lot of other places and becoming discouraged about finding the one, I came there and they got me excited again. They picked a dress off the rack that I wouldn't have pictured myself in and I put it on and it was the one! Without them, I wouldn't have found this amazing dress. I wanted something whimsical and different and they knew exactly what I needed! I would recommend them to anyone!” - Annabelle

Tell Us about BAE <3

“My husband and I met in middle school! We reconnected right after we both graduated and went on our first date the night after we graduated. We finally began to date the summer after graduating from high school, but that fall I went away to college and he went away to the Marine Corps. We continued our long distance relationship as he was stationed in California and I was playing college softball in Kentucky. He went on two deployments and before he left for his final deployment and the beginning of my senior year he proposed. He went onto his last deployment and was able to make it back just in time for my graduation. He came home officially in October (1 year before the wedding). I began my masters program and then got the offer to play softball professionally overseas, so the summer before the wedding I left for Italy and we continued our long distance. I got home a month before the wedding, so the wedding felt like one huge welcome home party for the both of us!”

favorite accessory on your wedding day

“I was in love with my custom sleeves designed to be added to my perfect dress. I also loved my cathedral veil and vintage earrings. They went perfectly with my accessories I got to wear from my mother's wedding (the headband and beading).”

Wedding day advice for future brides

“The biggest piece of advice I got was from after our wedding. I actually heard it while I was in another wedding. Someone told me to never leave your husbands side the night of your wedding. This way you could get more moments together that night and it could be a night better spent together, so stay TOGETHER!”

a special moment FROM YOUR wedding day

“This day had so many special moments. We had sentimental details throughout the whole day. My grandma had passed a couple years before and we got to use tons of sentimental pieces of hers throughout the wedding. All of the glassware in the reception was her collection. I also used her wedding band during the ceremony and had her pearls wrapped around my bouquet. The beads and headband I wore for the ceremony were ones my mom wore in her own wedding. This weekend was also sentimental due to it being the weekend of my grandparents anniversary and my brother and sister-in-law had planned to get married the very next day. Since this was the plan, I passed the bouquet to her in the bouquet toss. My dad had gotten sick that morning before the wedding and we had to go to the hospital directly after the wedding, but made it back for the father/daughter dance. This in itself was very emotional. My brother was also our officiant. At the end of the ceremony we had butterflies released and at the end of the reception we did a firework send off. My husband and I also had our own special moments including a first prayer (instead of a first look) and also a last dance by ourselves after everyone left. An exciting moment was that I had my childhood hairdresser cut my hair between the ceremony and reception. This was a complete surprise to my husband.”

Thank you for sharing your day with us! We loved sharing a small part of it with you!
