2023 Review: Andrea's Favorites

Another fantastic year is coming to a close, and with it comes the urge to reminisce. I thought I’d take this opportunity to reflect on some of our favorite gowns of 2023 - some that were resoundingly popular, and some that suited a specific type of bride. But regardless of how many trips they made down the aisle, these gowns are ultimately my favorite of the year:)

1679 - Martina Liana

There are always a few gowns each year that get a resounding “YES!” from me when I see them at Bridal Market…and this is one of them. This gown single handedly fulfilled a need we’d long been seeing: a gown for brides who love striking simplicity, but also crave just a little detail. And with her two types of detachable sleeves, she’s a multifaceted bridal marvel.

1557 by Martina Liana

A gown so nice, we bought it twice! This gown has been a major crowd pleaser, and we had a feeling our curvy brides would love the gorgeous structure and dramatic neckline, so we added it to our collection of 18+ styles. I love this gown because it can be styled for a multitude of weddings, whether formal or casual. Also, the optional ballgown skirt is a stunning option for two-looks-in-one.

Cameron - Made With Love

If I’m going to get excited about sparkle and lace, it’s got to be just right…and the Cameron is just right and then some! The detail is subtle AND striking, with a stunning silhouette and flawless construction. And when a bride is daring enough to wear the detachable tulle sleeves, it’s a guaranteed show stopper.

Greer - Market Street

The Greer gown from our very own private label was a fast favorite from the moment it hit the sales floor. The structure and fit is flawless, and the neckline is fresh-yet-timeless. And again, we added her to our 18+ collection and she’s been a hit with our curvy brides.

Grayson - Made With Love

When we posted sneak peeks of the Grayson gown from New York Fashion Week, the response was significant. And we aren’t surprised - our jaws were on the floor when this town came onto the runway. Luckily the gown in real life lived up to the hype, and it immediately became one of my favorite gowns. The silhouette is stunning, and it’s the perfect gown for a bride who wants to show off her back. Combine that with a flawlessly executed overskirt, and you’ve got Andrea’s official stamp of approval.

Remington - Martina Liana

And finally, seeing as how I will forever be a ‘ballgown girl’ at heart, I couldn’t complete this list without my favorite ballgown of the year: the Remington gown by Martina Liana. This gown has the unique characteristic of being grand, yet not overwhelming the bride. The corset detailing is right on-trend, yet the off-the-shoulder neckline and volumonous mikado skirt are as classic as they come.

I’m so excited to welcome exciting new styles to House of White in 2024 - our list of designers is growing, and with it come new trends and designs! Thank you for reading about my favorite gowns of the year - and cheers to 2024!

XO,

Andrea
